What to do if tested positive for Covid?

As per the current practice in INDIA, when you are positive you will be in touch with the local authority who will contact you daily over the phone to know the progress and guide you the future course of action. Also, you will be given some medicines.

Below are some steps to follow if you tested positive for COVID-19:

IF YOU’RE STAYING ALONE

Stay hydrated; drink lots of fluids and eat nutritious foods

Keep note of your symptoms; check their intensity from time to time

If the symptoms intensify, contact your healthcare provider.

DO NOT go out, even for groceries or medications. Ask someone from your neighbours to bring essentials for you, or order them online

Keep your doctor informed of your daily situation through online consultations

IF YOU’RE STAYING WITH SOMEONE

Wear a mask at home if you’re infected and living with your family or a friend

Isolate yourself totally from other house members; use a separate washroom if possible

Stay tuned to the WHO website for more updates and developments on the pandemic. Stay informed.

Have your family members get groceries and medications for you. Also, the members should follow a nutritious diet too to boost their immunity.

Keep your house members informed of your symptoms; they must know when to call someone in for medical assistance

As per current data, more than 80% of corona-infected patients do not need hospitalization; they can recover easily at home. Mental and emotional support is just what is needed, not social stigma.

As per the current practice in INDIA, when you are positive you will be in touch with the local authority who will contact you daily over the phone to know the progress and guide you the future course of action. Also, you will be given some medicines.
